Emmy Awards 2016: The Complete Winners List

For the second consecutive year, HBO swept the top two categories at the Emmy Awards, as Game of Thrones and Veep repeated for Outstanding Drama and Comedy Series. Thrones won three statuettes tonight at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards, which were handed out at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Only FX’s limited series The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story scored more hardware Sunday, taking home five awards including Outstanding Limited Series. Veep and Amazon’s Transparent were the only other multiple winners on the night with two apiece.

On the network side, FX and HBO tied for bragging rights with six Emmys apiece, followed by Netflix with three and NBC, PBS and Amazon with two apiece. CBS was shut out tonight. Including last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys, HBO leads with 22 awards, followed by FX with 18 and Netflix with nine.
